These terms apply when you use kookaskills.com. By registering or starting a membership you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Online practice for NAPLAN, ICAS, the Australian Mathematics Competition and the Melbourne Grammar entry test, for Years 3 to 7: a free 10-question try, a free diagnostic test, and a paid membership with a weekly study plan, practice papers, a Saturday mock, explanations and a Sunday report.
Kooka Skills is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACARA, ICAS Assessments, the Australian Maths Trust or Melbourne Grammar School. Every question is written for this site; no past test question is reproduced.
The account belongs to a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who registers and pays for each child. Children use the site through the private link we send you; please keep it private.
Each child has one year level. A membership covers one child and every program open to that child's year level.
Membership costs A$39 a month or A$349 a year for each child, including GST. While another child in the same family is a member, a further child's membership is 50% off.
The price you pay is the one shown on the payment page when you join. A tax invoice is emailed after each payment.
A child who has never had a membership can start with a 14-day free trial. A card is needed to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan you chose is charged on the last day of the trial and renews from then on. Cancel during the trial and nothing is charged.
Membership renews automatically, every month or every year from the day it started, and the card on file is charged at each renewal until you cancel.
If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you wish.
You can cancel at any time on your child's page: Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription. You do not need to call or write to us. Cancelling stops the next payment; the plan stays open to the end of the period already paid, or of the free trial.
After cancelling you can join again whenever you like.
If a renewal payment is declined, the plan stays open for 7 days while the payment is retried. If it still has not gone through, the plan closes until the payment is made. Your child's results stay saved.
We do not refund a period that has already started because of a change of mind. If something is not right, please email us first and tell us what happened: we read every message, and where a refund is fair we return it to the card that paid.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded; if the service has a major failure, you are entitled to cancel and to a refund for the unused part.
We provide the practice described on the site, marked by code and explained step by step. We do not promise a particular mark, result, award or school place: progress depends on how the practice is used.
We work to keep the site available and correct. If a question or a mark is wrong, tell us and we fix it.
Kooka Skills is for your own family's use. Please do not share your private links or account with other families, copy or resell questions or explanations, collect content with automated tools, or try to break or overload the site. We may close an account that does.
The questions, explanations, games, reports and site design belong to Candy & Frank Pty Ltd. NAPLAN, ICAS and AMC are the names of tests run by other organisations, used here only to say which test the practice is for.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects members, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. The English version applies; the Chinese version is a translation.
